Agreement Scope
These Terms apply to access to PetCura's website, clinic workspace, owner-facing intake or chat surfaces, integrations, support, and related services. A clinic may also have an order form, pilot agreement, data processing addendum, security exhibit, or other written agreement with PetCura.
If a signed agreement conflicts with this public Terms page, the signed agreement controls for that clinic relationship.
What PetCura Does
- Receives owner requests through WhatsApp, web intake, or fallback channels configured by the clinic.
- Structures requests into a clinic inbox so staff can triage, reply, follow up, and export records.
- Assists staff with drafts, summaries, translations, categories, risk flags, reminders, and audit records.
- Tracks workflow, delivery events, and AI accountability metadata.
- Leaves medical judgment, final urgency, diagnosis, prescriptions, and PMS records with the clinic.
Clinic Responsibilities
Authority
The person creating or administering a clinic account must have authority to bind the clinic or must use PetCura only under an approved pilot invitation.Owner communication
The clinic is responsible for obtaining required owner permissions, maintaining accurate clinic contact details, and deciding what messages are sent to owners.Medical decisions
Clinic staff must review clinical context, decide urgency, approve medical replies, and keep the PMS or other medical system of record current.Users and access
The clinic must invite only appropriate staff, remove access when roles change, and keep credentials secure.Compliance
The clinic remains responsible for its professional, clinical, privacy, recordkeeping, and messaging obligations.
Pet Owner Use
Pet owners should use PetCura only when a clinic invites them or makes a PetCura intake path available. Owners should not rely on PetCura for emergencies. If a pet may need urgent care, the owner should call the clinic, use the clinic's emergency instructions, or seek local emergency veterinary care.
AI Assistance
PetCura AI is a staff-assistance feature. It may help with intake questions, summaries, translation, category suggestions, risk flags, memory context, and reply drafts. It does not diagnose, prescribe, set final urgency, or auto-send medical advice.
Clinic staff are responsible for reviewing AI-assisted content before using it in owner-facing medical communication. PetCura stores AI accountability records as described in the Privacy Notice and customer agreement.
Acceptable Use
- Do not use PetCura to send spam, deceptive messages, unlawful content, or communications that violate WhatsApp, SMS, telecom, or clinic policies.
- Do not attempt to bypass authentication, tenant isolation, rate limits, audit logs, security controls, or AI safety controls.
- Do not upload malware, production secrets, stolen data, or content you do not have rights to process.
- Do not use PetCura to build a competing product by copying non-public product behavior, interfaces, or documentation.
- Do not use PetCura for emergency dispatch, autonomous diagnosis, prescription, or final medical triage.
Data Protection
PetCura processes clinic-controlled personal data as a processor under the clinic's documented instructions and the applicable Data Processing Addendum. PetCura may act as an independent controller for its own website, sales, account administration, support, security, and operational data.
The Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice, Subprocessors page, and signed customer agreement provide more detail about roles, processing, retention, transfers, subprocessors, and privacy rights.
Integrations And Third-Party Services
PetCura may connect to WhatsApp, SMS, PMS export destinations, background job providers, hosting providers, analytics, observability tools, AI providers, and other clinic-approved systems. Third-party services may have their own terms, service limitations, routing, and availability. PetCura is not responsible for a third-party service outside PetCura's reasonable control.
Fees, Trials, And Pilot Access
Pilot pricing, free trials, usage limits, renewal terms, taxes, payment timing, and cancellation rights are set out in the signed order form or pilot agreement. If no paid order is signed, PetCura may limit, change, or end pilot access with reasonable notice.
Availability And Changes

Intellectual Property
PetCura and its licensors own the product, software, design, documentation, workflows, and non-public product materials. Clinics and owners keep their rights in data and content they submit. Feedback may be used by PetCura to improve the product without obligation, unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
Suspension And Termination
PetCura may suspend access where needed to address security risks, unlawful use, non-payment, misuse, suspected compromise, legal obligations, or material breach. Termination, export, deletion, and transition assistance are handled under the signed customer agreement and Data Processing Addendum.
Disclaimers And Liability
PetCura is provided with the warranties, disclaimers, liability limits, exclusions, indemnities, and remedies stated in the signed customer agreement. Until final legal terms are approved, public website copy should not be treated as a complete legal contract or as legal, medical, or regulatory advice.
